Nystatin
- Hi pharm has a great contribution in the area of Mycotic infections, with its unique oral anti-fungal Nystatin.
Nystatin is a polyene antifungal agent isolated from Streptomyces noursei, which has great coverage on Candida albicans.
You can use Nystatin in treatment of the treatment of oropharyngeal candidiasis (thrush), intravaginally for vulvovaginal candidiasis, or topically for cutaneous candidiasis. Nystatin is negligibly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Levofloxacin
Levofloxacin can defeat:
- Gram-Negative Bacteria, as P. aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis.
- Gram-positive Bacteria, as Streptococcus pneumonia
- Atypical Bacterian, such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, and Legionella spp.
And this is due to the unique mechanism of action as Levofloxacin. Directly inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and promotes the breakage of DNA strands; by inhibiting DNA-gyrase in susceptible organisms, which in turn inhibits the relaxation of supercoiled DNA.
