Monophasic pills: one-month cycle, where each pill gives the same dose of hormone. At the end of the cycle, the female takes inactive pills and has her period.
Multiphasic pills: one-month cycle giving different levels of hormones during the cycle. In the last week, the patient takes inactive pills and have her period.
Extended-cycle pills: used for 13 weeks cycles. Patient
